Italian Meatball Sub (Casserole)

INGREDIENTS

1 lb. ground sausage

1 lb. ground beef

2 T. dry parmesan

2 T. Italian seasoned bread crumbs

2 T. dry chopped onions

2 T. minced garlic

1 egg

Italian Cream Cheese

½ c. mayo

4 oz. cream cheese, soften

1 - 2 t. Italian seasoning

2 cloves garlic, crushed

Mix well.

Spaghetti Sauce

Mozzarella Cheese

Sub Buns or French Bread

INSTRUCTIONS

In a bowl, combine meats, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and egg. Mix well. Use small cookie scooper to align meatballs on shallow baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes until meatballs are toasty.

Meanwhile, combine ingredients for Italian cream cheese.

For Subs, spread cream cheese mixture on bun. Next layer meatballs. Pour spaghetti sauce over the top. Top with mozzarella cheese.

For Sub casserole, cut french bread into slices and arrange in bottom of 9x13 pan. Spread Italian cream cheese over the bread. Top with meatballs. Pour spaghetti sauce over meatballs. Top with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 uncovered for 20 minutes to cook through.
