Maple Blondies with Maple Butter Sauce

Blondies

3/4 c. butter, room temperature

1 1/2 c. brown sugar

2 eggs

2 t. vanilla

1 T. Maple extract

1 t. baking powder

1 t. baking soda

1 t. salt

1 1/2 cups flour

1 cup white chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350°

  • Spray a 11x7 pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

  • Cream butter and sugar together with mixer until light and fluffy.

  • Add eggs, vanilla, maple extract.

  • Slowly add in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. 

  • Fold in white chocolate chips.

  • Spread batter into pan and bake 25-30 minutes.

  • Let cool before cutting into squares.

 

MAPLE BUTTER SAUCE

  • ⅓ c butter

  • 1 c sugar

  • 8 oz  cream cheese

  • ¼ c. maple syrup

  • 2 T brown sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a medium sauce pan, melt butter. Add sugars and maple syrup. Heat to dissolve before adding cream cheese.

  • Cook over medium heat and stir until smooth. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently.

  • Once the blondies are cooked and cooled completely, cut blondies into squares and serve with butter pecan ice cream and drizzle sauce over the top.
